After watching almost everyone I follow online argue and rave about how great, confusing or how much of a "total waste of time" Westworld is, I decided to watch the show and see for myself. A show that has such conflicting views has to be worth something right?

Well, after one faithful weekend of binge-watching Season 1, I had a couple of burning questions that needed answering:

Where is Logan?

We know that William aka The Man in Black aka the major shareholder of Delos first came into the park with Logan - his soon-to-be brother in law who just wanted to "shoot or fuck everything".
But after William makes it obvious he's coming for Logan's position, he sends him off naked and tied to a horse.
Remember?

So where is Logan now? Still in the Park? He can't die in the park so if he's still in there, he's alive. Probably cowering somewhere.

This Wyatt Narrative

Dr Ford says Arnold was hurt that he (Ford) didn't agree with him about not opening the Park so he merged Dolores with the Wyatt narrative. Now this Wyatt  (along with Teddy) went ahead and killed every host in the Park and Arnold.

The thing is, Dr Ford infused the Wyatt narrative in Episode 3 "The Stray" yet Arnold was murdered by Wyatt 34 years ago.  Now if Arnold only introduced the narrative to Dolores, how was Teddy a part of it seeing as they never go completely off script? Except of course Arnold also added in Teddy's script that he should go ahead with whatever crazy ideas Dolores ever comes up with. But that was never mentioned, was it?

Why declare a host human only to have them commit mass murder?

Arnold insisted that Dolores was human and should therefore not be subjected to the depravity of the newcomers who would visit the park. But after declaring her human, he gives her a gun and forces her to kill everyone and then blow her brains out.

He takes away her will just like those newcomers are so keen to do.

Why kill Elsie?

Elsie was the energetic noser who stumbled onto the fact that Theresa was smuggling data out of the park a day or so before getting killed. As far as I'm concerned, the only person who had reason to kill her was Theresa or Charlotte. Not Bernard. What information could she have that so threatened Ford? And why not just fire her instead?

Who changed Maeve's narrative?

For the better part of the show, Maeve considered herself a badass who had somehow escaped from her monotonous storyline and found her way to be god. But we discover that someone actually programmed her to wake out of sleep mode and try to break out of the Park - maybe even as far as getting to the train only to alight. So who changed the narrative and to what end?

Initially, I believed it was Lee Sizemore using her to smuggle data out of the park but seeing the shock on Poor Lee's face when he found the hosts graveyard empty, I'm not so sure.

What part of William's story is true?

In episode 8 "Trace Decay", William told Teddy his story saying his wife committed suicide because she believed he was a monster and he came to the park to prove (or disprove) her judgement by killing an unarmed woman and child. He made that sound like it was the first time he ever killed unarmed people. But we see from Young William that that was very untrue. Billy left lots of bodies in his quest to find Dolores. So which part is true?

And my final (and most important) question after watching the Season Finale;

What's the point of a park where you can be killed?

The whole point of paying great money ($40,000 a day in young Billy's day) is to come to a place where you can play god and be god. But now that the hosts are wired to fight back and can actually kill people, how's that any different from the real world? Why on earth would I pay $40,000 a day (or more) to be brutalized, raped and/or killed by hosts?
