Everyone needs a half crazed, half apache.

The latest season of HBO's hit show Silicon Valley took a turn towards the dark and unexpected path. We saw our struggling founder become an even bigger and (evil) dickwad than the other tech founders he claims to be better than, we saw our favorite cynical Satanist wear matching jammies and get sucked into a vortex and most of all, we saw one of our favorite characters exit the show.
Despite these little and somewhat necessary changes, we can still hold on to Jared's irrational and suffocating love for an undeserving Richard. Vanity Fair deemed  him the sweetest, darkest and funniest character on TV.  Zach Woods (who plays Jared) has said in several interviews that Jared is like an exaggerated version of his mother so it's no surprise most of these moments include Jared taking "mothering" to a whole new (psychotic) level. 

Best job pitch ever .

"YOU DICK... FUCK YOU"

 In 4x05 "Blood Boy", Jared completely loses it when Blood Boy says Richard is not as successful as Gavin Belson.. which is totally true. I mean do you have a blood boy, Richard. Do you?


"Look me in the eyes, you reckless child"

In 4x09 "Hoolicon", after Richard nearly sacrificed everything they worked for for a little pettiness, Jared gave him the scolding he needed and looked damn well near whooping Richard's ass.
There's also that moment when Jared didn't know when to stop whoo-ing.
Though I can't find a video for it, my favorite Jared moment in Season 4 has got to be him trying to defend Richard from Dan Melcher's fists while screaming "No". He looked like a mother trying to unsuccessfully defend her spawn from a hoodlum.
