Okay, Seriously?

If we're being totally honest here (and that's exactly what this space is for), Teen Wolf went to absolute sheet after the third season. But we stayed through the ridiculousness that was Season 4, the suggestive and mildly disturbing relationship that was Lydia and Parrish, the constant and unnecessary pairing of literally every character - can anyone be single for like one second? - the introduction of unbelievable creatures like chimeras and Lowenmensch, and finally the unnecessary and unexplained departure of a character we never really liked but eventually got used to (aka Kira). We stayed through it all. For old times sake and for Stiles.

After bracing ourselves to live through the high school reunion that is the Final 10 episodes, telling ourselves "what's ten more episodes after 2 seasons of unbridled ridiculosuness"? All that preparation and MTV is announcing they plan to milk the entire franchise until its totally unwatchable (and trust me, it's very well near that at the moment).

But wait, its not so bad. MTV plans to allow the series finale "marinate for a year or so" while they talk about it on a podcast until they find "the right story and the right cast... to resurrect it". If you'd like to get the full details of the unwanted reboot, head on to Hollywood Reporter  and come back here to tell us your thoughts.

Meanwhile, a fan wrote an entire article in EW's comment section on why it's a terrible idea to do a reboot of a a very frayed show

I mean, the anthology might not be so bad but for the love of all that is sane, don't milk the Teen Wolf franchise, don't drag Teen Wolf fans through another roller coaster of we-don't-know-what-we're-doing-but-we-hope-you're-loyal-enough-to-stick-with-it. Don't be lazy okay? Find your new show a new fanbase.
